A Cold and Broken Hallelujah

Kind of a sad blog title huh? :) My bad! I just think it's a beautiful phrase. It's from the song from Shrek called "Hallelujah".

i heard there was a secret chord

it's beautiful.

I know that I'm a little overdue for the original release of HEAVEN AND EARTH, but it's my baby. I want it to be perfect. I want the songs and the entire album to come naturally, so it's still unfinished but still being worked on, then when it's perfect, you'll know.

My friend Starlee was talking to me about some stuff that has been on my mind lately and she said something that really struck a chord, it was :
"put your chin up, and know that you are a son of God and you are an amazing guy, and you deserve the best, and then live your life like that!"

I'm really grateful to have good people in my life.

Playing @ Spark Restaurant Lounge

Hey how's it going everyone? So, good news and bad news. I am playing a show next week at the Spark Lounge in Provo. I'm pretty excited, this is like the first full show that i would have played in almost a year. This is kind of the come back show, in a way. I know it's far and it's late for you Salt Laker's on a Thursday night but I will play a Salt Lake show soon. I'm really excited, I have about 8 new songs that have never been played live before and a full on backdrop now so it'll look pretty decent.

Now the bad news. I actually originally wanted to release "Heaven and Earth" this week on iTunes but I'm not done yet. Almost there, I want to have about 11 or 12 songs on the album and I have 8 so that's good. But I really really really want it to be perfect, so this is my baby and I'm polishing it right just for you. So hang tight and stay tuned. This album is pretty deep for me, it deals with a lot of the things in my life and my emotions from about the past 3 years. I can't wait for you guys to hear it.

I Must Be Dreaming

It was pretty cool I was sitting there and I decided to finally record this song.



I think the cutest part was that I recorded it for Alexis because she had always wanted me to record it. So I sent it to her and it was just the remedy that she needed at the time, so I guess my work here is done :)

Baptism Anniversary

Good morning,

So I figured that it wouldn't take me long until I continued to finish my album Heaven and Earth. I picked up the guitar again and finished a song that I have been working on for months now.

In honor of the momentous occasion that I was baptized 5 years ago into the LDS church I think I changed my mind about the new song, and you don't have to wait until October for the album release but you can download the song here below.
